Tottenham’s young attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen has promised fans that he’s happy at White Hart Lane, although has admitted to having “secret plans” as to where his future lies, reports the Evening Standard.
The 22-year-old scored his seventh Premier League goal of the season away at West Brom, and earned rave reviews from supporters for his performance.
Following the match, the Dane reiterated his desire to stay with Spurs, for the time being at least.
“I’m incredibly happy that they [Spurs] seem happy with me,” said Eriksen.
“I am very glad that they like what they see.”
However, Eriksen did admit to having a secret career progression plan, which with Spurs virtually certain to not be playing Champions League football next term, could worry the White Hart Lane faithful.
“Of course I have a dream and a secret plan in my head. But I keep it to myself. Right now I live in the moment and enjoy the success I have,” he said.
Eriksen has been the most successful of Tottenham’s summer signings, and the club will no doubt be desperate to keep hold of their talismanic playmaker at all costs.
