Tottenham Hotspur players Lucas Moura, Ben Davies, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguilon went head-to-head to see who has the best NFL knowledge with a series of fun challenges.
Spurs may host NFL games at their stadium twice a year, but these players weren’t too convincing when it came to displaying their knowledge of American Football.
Moura and Davies were on a team against Hojbjerg and Reguilon, and it was pretty close in the end as they tried their hand at a variety of contests.
Watch below for the full video as Betway teamed up with Tottenham to put together this quiz, starting with a hilarious charades round as the players imitated various animals – with some doing a lot better than others! – to try to get their team-mate to guess football team names like the Miami Dolphins, the Baltimore Ravens and the Chicago Bears…
After that, the players tried their hand at guessing a few different words of NFL terminology, such as ‘blitz’, ‘fumble’, and ‘stiff arm’. There were some interesting guesses here, and it wasn’t always entirely clear if the players really knew what they were talking about, but they ended with some respectable scores.
Finally, in the last round they had to have a go at finding the location of various NFL teams on a map of the USA, and get them in the right places in just 60 seconds.
Davies and Moura just about came out on top, but the players’ struggles in this clip perhaps shows they could do with watching a bit more NFL in order to boost their knowledge!
In fairness, it’s always a bit of a mixed bag when you get athletes to test out their knowledge on other sports, and who knows how much most NFL players know about Premier League or Champions League football?
In total, there will be three NFL games played in London in 2022, with two of those coming at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the other at Wembley Stadium.
The franchise continues to expand and broaden its horizons, with matches now also scheduled to take place in Munich and Frankfurt.
We imagine Spurs star Harry Kane will be keen to attend those games in London as he’s shown he’s a big fan of the NFL in the past, and the legendary Tom Brady in particular.
With hindsight, perhaps the England striker would have been a better option alongside the likes of Moura, Davies and co. to do this NFL quiz!
