Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Arsenal – Spurs player ratings:
- 25 Hugo Lloris – 6
Couldn’t be blamed for Rosicky’s thundering opener, and was solid from here on after.
- 16 Kyle Naughton – 7
Gets criticised regularly for not being of elite standard, but Naughton actually played very well today, and kept Lukas Podolski quiet all afternoon.
- 03 Danny Rose – 5
Let himself down with a very blatant dive, and looked surprisingly off the pace. Was undeniably out of position for Arsenal’s opener too, although he wouldn’t have expected Rosicky to connect with the ball quite so sweetly.
- 04 Younes Kaboul – 6
Dealt with the threat of Olivier Giroud well, although to be fair, the French striker was pretty woeful. Kaboul also made some surging runs into midfield with the ball at his feet, but it failed to help his team score a goal.
- 05 Jan Vertonghen – 6
Very lucky not to give away a penalty when he had his hands all over Laurent Koscielny in the box. Spurs fans will also be worried by his visible lack of passion during a North London derby. In fairness, he did look composed in possession, and made one or two important interceptions.
