Spurs in talks for Argentine ace.
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be closing in on a £25m deal to sign Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio, according to the Metro.
Spurs chief Mauricio Pochettino is looking to add more options to his wide areas, and reports are claiming that the 24-year-old is the ideal man for the job.
Club scouts were in attendance this weekend to watch the Argentine wide man play his part in Benfica’s 3-0 victory over Vitoria Setubal, and were apparently impressed enough to broker negotiations over a summer move.
However, such a move could depend on whether Tottenham manage to navigate their way into next season’s Champions League, though chairman Daniel Levy could sanction the move should Mauricio Pochettino manage to offload some current members of his squad to raise funds.
