Arsenal are thought to be one of the most active clubs in the January transfer window, but which five players are most likely to move to Emirates Stadium?
1. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
Arsenal sold Robin Van Persie in the summer, and brought in Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud.
Both players already appear fine purchases, but neither of which have the blend of technique, power, movement and finishing ability that made Van Persie one of the most feared strikers in Europe.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has not been able to settle at the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan, but has been immensely prolific for the likes of Ajax and current club FC Schalke 04.
Out of contract in the summer, Huntelaar could be a bargain signing for Arsene Wenger’s side in January – and replace the goal threat lost when Robin van Persie left.
The Netherlands star may be 29 years old, but has never relied on pace, and has a good few years remaining at the top level.
