The summer transfer window seems in full swing now as it looks like we’re nearing the conclusion of three major sagas.
It looks likely to be a busy summer for Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and co., though Euro 2020 might slow things down a bit.
Still, it’s useful having some of the England players actually in the UK due to their participation in the European Championships here, and that might be why we’re seeing some deals involving these players get closer to completion.
Here are three major signings that now finally look like going through, so much so that places like BetNow Sportsbook might now be cashing out on some of these guys’ transfer odds.
Ben White to Arsenal
This seems like it’s all but a done deal as Arsenal agree to pay £50million for the impressive young Brighton defender.
The England international is currently with Gareth Southgate’s squad, so it shouldn’t be too difficult for Arsenal to complete formalities like contacting him to agree personal terms and get his medical done.
White would surely be a tremendous signing for the Gunners to help replace the departing David Luiz, so fans will hope this can now be wrapped up as soon as possible.
Jadon Sancho to Man Utd
One of the other in-demand members of this England squad is Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho, who was linked strongly with United for so much of last summer, only for the move to fall through.
It now seems that Sancho is finally going to get his move to Old Trafford, with the player agreeing personal terms and the two clubs getting closer to settling on his transfer fee.
The 21-year-old looks ideal for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side’s needs right now, and his arrival would well pave the way for further transfers in the near future involving the Red Devils, as it could spell the end for both Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.
Achraf Hakimi to PSG
Finally, Achraf Hakimi looks set to become a PSG player despite strong interest from Chelsea in the Inter Milan right-back.
Reports now suggest the Morocco international only ever wanted a move to the Parc des Princes, and Chelsea’s interest was mainly utilised as something to pressurise the Ligue 1 giants into paying Inter what they wanted.
In many ways, Chelsea shouldn’t be too downhearted by this news as they would likely benefit from focusing on other areas as priorities instead, such as a signing up front to give them a much-needed upgrade on the goal-shy Timo Werner.
Elsewhere, we’re yet to hear much in the way of updates on Harry Kane or Jack Grealish, though they’re surely the next big names to keep an eye on this summer.
It’s not just England players on the move, however, with Romelu Lukaku possibly following Hakimi out of the San Siro, while Liverpool might also be busy soon after some speculation linking them with Youri Tielemans, Yves Bissouma and John McGinn as potential replacements for Georginio Wijnaldum.
There’s also the small matter of Kylian Mbappe, who is in the final year of his contract at PSG and who has supposedly told club chief Leonardo that he wants to leave.
