With the news having broken this evening that Chelsea have agreed terms with AC Milan for striker Fernando Torres to head to Serie A on a two-year loan deal, the Express have reported that Jose Mourinho wants one of three top class centre forwards to replace the £50 million man.
These are the three under consideration by the Blues:
Loic Remy (Queens Park Rangers)
The report suggests that Loic Remy, from Chelsea’s bitter local rivals Queens Park Rangers, is top of Mourinho’s list and has a bargain buy-out clause for Champions League clubs of just £8.5m.
There are doubts about Remy’s long-term fitness, however, with a proposed move to Liverpool having collapsed at the 11th hour, but Remy proved himself as a fine Premier League goalscorer whilst on loan at Newcastle United last season.
