With Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel failing to show any good form in central midfield and Michael Essien seemingly out of favour, the task of performing well has fallen squarely on Ramires’ shoulders.
The Brazilian has developed into a top-class midfielder in three years at the club and it’s little surprise that some of Europe’s elite have shown interest in the 26-year-old.
Mourinho needs Ramires to stay however, as the alternatives in the South American’s position are not favourable.
