Sydney Swans coach John Longmire says he expects Nick Malceski to be right for Friday’s preliminary final against North Melbourne at ANZ Stadium.
Malceski tweaked his hamstring during the first week of finals, and has been in a race against time to be fit for the match.
Howvever on Thursday morning Longmire said the All-Australian defender is likely to feature in the clash that will decide one of the spots in the 2014 Grand Final.
“He’s done everything that is required this week. He ran really hard on Monday, did all the training yesterday,” Longmire said.
“He pulled up well today, so at this stage we expect to name him.
“I can only go on what’s in front of me right now. He feels good, he did all the running yesterday.
“We expect him to play.”
