Former Brisbane prop Martin Kennedy has rejoined the Sydney Roosters after a lacklustre 2014 season with the Broncos.
Kennedy spent five years at the Roosters before making a lucrative move to the Broncos ahead of last season, however he failed to make an impact and new coach Wayne Bennett informed him his services were no longer required.
The 25-year-old announced on Instagram he was rejoining his old club.
“I’m really excited to announce that I’ll be rejoining the @sydneyroosters next season,” Kennedy wrote.
“It was a hard decision to leave the @brisbanebroncos but ultimately I knew it was one that had to be made.
“I want to thank all the players and fans for my brief time at the club; it was a great pleasure to play alongside and in front of you all.
“Playing under Wayne was something that I’ve always wanted to do but an opportunity to rejoin the club I’ve supported since a child, train alongside my brother @sam_kenno and be coached by Trent Robinson was something too special to pass up.”
Kennedy did not reveal the length of his deal with the Roosters.
