The Black Cats agree terms with Bursaspor for N’Diaye.
Sunderland are on the verge of signing former France Under 21 international, Alfred N’Diaye, according to Sky Sports.
The Black Cats have reportedly agreed terms with the player’s Turkish club, Bursaspor, and will join the club during the current January transfer window.
Representatives from the Stadium of Light apparently made an approach for the player last week and talks are now said to be at an advanced stage.
The player is now due to arrive in Sunderland for a medical and to finalise the terms of his contract.
Barring any last minute hitches, the player is set to sign for a fee reportedly in the region of £3.2 million.
The player has impressed scouts from across Europe following his move to Turkey from French club Nancy in 2011.
The 22 year old is increasingly becoming known for his combative physical presence and composure in the tackle, and is capable of playing at centre back or in a defensive midfield position.
Sunderland are currently sitting 14th in the league but sit just four points clear of the relegation zone.
Mackems manager Martin O’Neill will be hoping that N’Diaye will add a physical presence that can help steer his side clear of a relegation dogfight.
