The 25-year-old Spain international is reportedly top of Arsene Wenger’s January wish-list and the Gunners are believed to be lining up a £15m bid for the speedy forward.
But Lopez has insisted he is happy at Atletico, despite struggling for goals so far this term.
“I try to isolate myself from the rumours,” Lopez told Eurosport.
“We are used to them and do not take them seriously. I am very happy at Atletico.”
Lopez has a clause in his contract that could see him leave if a club offer £15 million, but he said: “I am happy here and it is my intention to continue here.
“The good thing at the moment is that the team is doing very well. I would like to stay for a while yet.”
Lopez has scored 10 goals in 53 La Liga appearances for the Vicente Calderon outfit but excelled in the Europa League last term, bagging 11 in 19 appearances.
Lopez has been overshadowed by Atletico’s star striker Radamel Falcao so far this campaign but Wenger reportedly believes the player can excel for the Gunners.
