Southampton, West Ham, Stoke City, and Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are all in the race to sign Manchester United misfit Javier Hernandez, reports the Daily Mirror.
The 26-year-old has been out on loan at Real Madrid since the beginning of the season, but has been unable to break into a team that contains Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Jese in the forward positions. He has spoken about how low his confidence is as a result.
This has alerted the clubs mentioned, and the Saints are the most recent to get involved in the race for the Mexico international’s signature. They will surely be hard pressed to get the player ahead of Wolfsburg, who will likely have the allure of Champions League football next season to help them out. West Ham and Stoke will also no doubt put up a fight for the striker’s signature.
