Inter playmaker still hoping to push through January move to England.
Internazionale playmaker Wesley Sneijder is still hoping to seal a move to the Premier League in the January transfer window, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The Netherlands international had been set for a shock move to Galatasaray this week after Inter and the Turkish giants agreed a fee for the 28 year old, however, Sneijder reportedly would prefer a transfer to a more well-known league, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Arsenal all said to be interested in the player.
The one major sticking point though remains the midfield player’s huge wage demands, with Sneijder currently said to be earning an exorbitant £200,000 per week at San Siro, a figure that puts him out of reach of a number of clubs.
Meanwhile, the player has also not featured for Inter since September after refusing to sign a contract extension with the club that would have reduced his annual £9m salary by £1.6m a year, leading to his current predicament.
However, if Sneijder is to see his dream move to the Premier League materialise, then he is going to have to accept some sort of reduction on his present salary demands.
