The San Francisco 49ers’ offseason continues to get ugly as fullback Bruce Miller has been arrested on suspicion of spousal assault.
Patrick Willis retirement – San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl linebacker expected to retire after eight seasons
Colin Kaepernick trade – 49ers deny that quarterback is on trading block
Frank Gore Eagles – Philadelphia Eagles expected to sign 49ers running back
Miller is the 11th 49ers player to be arrested since the 2011 season ended, and the 49ers are losing key players after a disappointing 8-8 season, including running back Frank Gore and likely wide receiver Michael Crabtree.
Defensive end Ray McDonald was arrested for a crime relating to domestic violence before the 2014 season, and Miller’s arrest adds to an array of domestic assault situations in the NFL.
General manager Trent Baalke released a statement on Miller’s behalf, saying that the team is disappointing to hear of the reports.
Sports Illustrated announced Miller’s arrest on Twitter.
