The St. Louis Rams may not be the frontrunner to relocate to Los Angeles after all…
It seems to be inevitable that Los Angeles will eventually have an NFL team, and there are a few teams that have been rumored to be on the move.
Terrance Knighton Raiders – Free-agent defensive tackle to be pursued by Oakland Raiders
Ken Norton Jr. Raiders – Raiders hire Seattle Seahawks linebackers coach as defensive coordinator
Justin Tuck Ndamukong Suh – Raiders defensive end calls free-agent defensive tackle “Raider-ish”
The St. Louis Rams and Oakland Raiders have been the teams most frequently mentioned, and the Raiders moving to Los Angeles once again may become a reality.
The Raiders played in Los Angeles from 1982 to 1994, before eventually moving back to Oakland.
The Raiders and the Chargers revealed that they have proposed sharing a new stadium near Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Their plan is to build a stadium in Carson that would be worth $1.7 billion. Carson is 15 miles away from Los Angeles, and it’s the home city of Major League Soccer team the LA Galaxy.
If enough voters can sign a petition to build the stadium, the building will begin. This may happen in the foreseeable future, as the Raiders and Chargers’ leases will expire in 2015.
