Man United is expected to make a bid on the Paris Saint-Germain, according to ESPN FC’s Julien Laurens.
They are expected to lose Radamel Falcao, who would return to Monaco if he left, which puts Manchester United in need of a striker.
Cavani’s stock is at its peak right now as he recently produced a hat trick against Guingamp in a 6-0 victory.
Cavani has scored 16 goals in this Ligue 1 season, so Man United is sure to pursue the 28-year-old striker.
The Red Devils will be in the Champions League as they are in fourth place, but they are looking to reload and vault themselves into title contention.
Liverpool has also reportedly expressed interest in Cavani, but his desire is to play in the Champions League.
Wherever he goes, Cavani will immediately provide a major scoring threat.
