With six NFL seasons under his belt, Rex Ryan could come into a contending team right away and take the reins without a learning curve.

Former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan will reportedly interview with the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons for their vacant head coaching positions.
The 49ers and Falcons will both interview Ryan next week, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Both would be situations in which Ryan would be able to come in and see immediate results. The 49ers are only a year removed from three straight NFC Championship games and have some of the best defensive personnel in the NFL. The Falcons, on the other hand, have a great offense run by QB Matt Ryan, but have been a bottom-of-the-barrel defense for the last two years – Rex Ryan is considered one of the best, if not the best, defensive minds in the NFL today.
If Ryan isn’t hired as a head coach, his fallback option is likely to be on television, where he reportedly has multi-million dollar offers awaiting him to work as an in-game commentator or a studio analyst. His appearances in the media have made him one of the most entertaining non-players in all of sports.
