Champions League winners made approach for Blues ace.
Chelsea midfielder Ramires was reportedly a top target for Real Madrid this summer as they eyed a replacement for Xabi Alonso, according to El Confidencial.
The Brazil international has been a key player for the Blues in recent times, and has attracted interest from other top clubs before, though it seems unlikely that they would let him leave easily.
Still, Real tried their luck with a bid for Ramires during the summer, which was quickly rejected by the Stamford Bridge outfit.
It is also claimed that the likes of Marco Verratti and Fredy Guarin, of Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan respectively, were also high on Carlo Ancelotti’s list of priorities to improve his options in the middle of the park.
