Rafa Benitez is amongst a number of managers being lined up to replace Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers appears to be running out of time to save his job following this week’s timid Champions League exit at the hands of Swiss champions FC Basel, with the Express reporting that former Reds boss Rafa Benitez is one of three top class continental managers that the club have already held talks with over replacing the Northern Irishman.

Benitez enjoyed a successful spell in charge of the club in the mid 2000’s, leading them to an unprecedented fifth European Cup title against AC Milan, although his final season in charge was something of a disaster as they fell into mid-table – the position they now find themselves in under Rodgers.
The Spaniard is not the only name linked with a post that is not even vacant yet, however, with Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp and former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, currently in charge at Zenit St. Petersburg, also linked with Anfield.
