Colombian wanted by Stamford Bridge outfit.
Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao remains Chelsea’s top target for January, reports the Daily Star.
The Colombian sensation has been on dazzling form this season, netting 20 goals in just 16 matches in La Liga, making him one of the hottest properties in Europe.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Chelsea for some time and it is understood that the Blues have already lined-up a £200,000 a week offer for the striker, who has a £48m buy-out clause.
The Blues are in need of a new forward, with Fernando Torres again struggling to consistently deliver, despite a slight renaissance under new boss Rafa Benitez, and Daniel Sturridge set to join Liverpool for £12m in January.
Atletico are reluctant to lose Falcao, who is also wanted by Real Madrid, but are known for cashing in on their stars, having sold the like of Torres, Sergio Aguero and Diego Forlan for big-money in recent seasons.
