The QPR has spoken of his determination to keep his shot-stoppers at Loftus Road this January in the wake of increased speculation regarding Julio Cesar and Robert Green.
Cesar has been linked in recent days with a move to Real Madrid following the news that their Spanish international goalie, Iker Casillas, is set for a significant spell on the sidelines after breaking his hand. Madrid boss Jose Mourinho knows Brazilian goalie Cesar well from their days together at Italian giants Inter Milan.
Nottingham Forest meanwhile have been linked with former England number one Robert Green after they released Lee Camp from the club.
But Redknapp is keen to hold on to both players insisting ‘I don’t want to sell Cesar or Green. They’re two good quality keepers. They’re our backbone. We need to keep them here. Cesar is a top keeper and you can understand why people would want him, but we’ve not had any enquiries.’
QPR have enjoyed a good start to the New Year, maintaining an unbeaten record that is giving fans of the club hope that they can pull of an unlucky rise up the table and avoid relegation.
