West London club may lose front man for two months.
New Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy may be out of action for as long as two months after suffering a groin injury in training, says the Daily Express.
There are still Premier League tickets available for QPR v Man Utd at Loftus Road on Feb 23.
The West Londoners only brought the highly-rated France international to Loftus Road for £8 million from Ligue 1 giants Marseille in the January transfer window in the hope that his eye for goal and prowess in the penalty box would provide the relegation-threatened Premier League club with the goals that they need to remain in the top flight.
However, after barely a handful of games and just the one goal to date, it now appears as though the front man may be out of action or as long as two months after pulling his groin in the final moments of training on Friday ahead of the West London club’s crucial six pointer with fellow strugglers Norwich City at Loftus Road last Saturday, a match in which they badly missed his goalscoring abilities.
And, if Remy is missing for the next eight weeks then that would put a huge dent in manager Harry Redknapp’s hopes of keeping the club in the Premier League this season.
