QPR grabbed a late equaliser to draw 1-1 with Aston Villa at Loftus Road.
The home side dominated the first 45 minutes with Adel Taarabt – who truck the post – and Shaun Wright-Phillips causing Villa problems from the first whistle. The visitors struggled to get out of their half but on one of the rare occasions that they did, they almost took the lead when Barry Bannan’s free kick was brilliantly saved by Paddy Kenny.
Villa improved in the second half and took the lead when Bannan slotted home a penalty after Armand Traore was adjudged to have pulled back Gabriel Agbonlahor. Rangers pressed for an equaliser but looked to have run out of luck when Traore received his marching orders for a second yellow card. However, the hapless Richard Dunne turned the ball into his own net in injury time to ensure that the points were shared.
