Queens Park Rangers endured a torrid return to the Premier League as they were swatted aside 3-0 by Bolton Wanderers at Loftus Road
The visitors were always in control from the moment that they scored the opening goal – one that could already be a contender for goal of the month. A lay off from Chris Eagles was played into the path of Gary Cahill and the coveted centre back struck a wickedly curling strike into the top corner from fully 25 yards.
An own goal from Danny Gabbidon doubled Bolton’s advantage after the break and Ivan Klasnic put the result beyond doubt when his deflected shot wrongfooted Paddy Kenny in the Rangers goal. Fabrice Mumba put the icing on the cake with a fourth for Owen Coyle’s men.
