Roma starlet Marquinhos expected to arrive too.
PSG defender Thiago Silva will reject the advances of Barcelona as he claims he will respect his contract with the French champions.
The Brazilian international has been linked with a big-money move to the Spanish giants this summer, as they continue their search to strengthen the heart of their defence.
Silva, 28, is widely regarded as one of the best centre-halves in the game and it had been suggested that he was open to a switch to Spain next season.
However, speaking to Globoesporte, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, he has revealed that he will respect his contract with PSG and is ignoring the rumours in the transfer market surrounding his future.
His statement had been expected to have a knock-on effect on Roma defender Marquinhos’ move to the French capital, but according to reports in the Italian media, it is understood that the 19-year-old will still join the Ligue 1 champions.
Gazzetta have reported that an agreement is in place for a €35m move, with the young Brazilian expected to undergo medical tests and sign his new contract on Thursday afternoon.
However, there has been no official word from either club on the matter and it remains to be seen just how close they are to reaching an agreement.
Marquinhos has been tipped to become one of the next great central defenders after an impressive debut campaign in Serie A last season, and by pairing him with his compatriot Silva, PSG may well have one of the most formidable defensive units in Europe too..
