Manchester City’s Spanish stars also feature…

GK) Adrian – West Ham
Chelsea had 38 shots on goal at Stamford Bridge, and miraculously didn’t score a single one of them. Adrian was heroic, consistently making superb saves, and earning his side a crucial point.
DR) Adrian Mariappa – Crystal Palace
Since Pulis took over, Palace’s fortunes have totally transformed. Mariappa did everything his manager expects from his fullbacks against Hull, defending resolutely while playing accurate long-balls, too. The Eagles now sit in 14th place following the 1-0 win.
DC) Wes Brown – Sunderland
Sunderland needed a real gritty performance from Brown, as they kept the clean sheet against Stoke City who were easily the better side. The win helps them climb out of the relegation zone for the first time all season.
DC) Chico – Swansea
Scored his side’s crucial second goal which won them the game, and never put a foot wrong against a Fulham side who are now favourites for relegation. Was as solid in the air as he was composed in possession.
DL) Luke Shaw – Southampton
It’s no wonder Chelsea and Manchester United are expected to do battle for the wonderkid’s signature in the summer. He gave Barcary Sagna, one of the league’s best fullbacks, a torrid time with his consistent overlapping runs, and he also assisted the first goal with a looping cross.
