Canberra Raiders are reportedly preparing a bid to lure Sydney Roosters star Jared Waerea-Hargreaves to the club for the 2016 NRL season.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Raiders coach Ricky Stuart wants Waerea-Hargreaves in the nation’s capital when his contract expires with the Roosters at the end of the 2015 season.
Canberra are in need of front-rowers following the departures of Brett White and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, and Stuart confirmed the Raiders’ interest in the 25-year-old ball-runner.
“Obviously Jared’s a good player and we’re interested,” Stuart told The Daily Telegraph.
“We’re probably interested in a about four high profile players at the moment.”
