Black Caps looking to continue momentum gained from excellent first-up victory.
New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum won the toss and elected to bat against England in the second one-day international at Southampton on Sunday.
England were unchanged from the side that lost the first of this three-match series by five wickets at Lord’s on Friday.
That meant there was no England debut for former Ireland paceman Boyd Rankin, called up into the squad on Friday following injuries to Stuart Broad (knee) and Steven Finn (shin soreness).
New Zealand made one change with Doug Bracewell replacing rested fellow seamer Tim Southee.
The series concludes with a day/night match at Nottingham’s Trent Bridge ground on Wednesday.
