Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool have all made moves in the transfer market this summer, but who is splashing out the most in terms of Premier League wages?
We look at 10 big summer signings and check out how much they are being paid by their new clubs…
Schweinsteiger may have been good value after being signed from Bayern for £10m, but his reported £275,000-a-week wages will ensure that he is hitting United’s pockets hard.
That amounts to almost £40m in wages over three years for the German, as reported by the Daily Star. United boss Louis Van Gaal will hope he’s worth it.
According to the Independent, the Frenchman doubled his salary after his move from Southampton to Old Trafford and is now earning around £120,000 per week.
It has been an expensive summer for United already, and more new faces are expected to join him.
