Moyes has been criticised after the Dutchman suffered an injury in Japan.
Manchester United boss David Moyes has been openly criticised on Twitter after star striker Robin Van Persie was injured in only the Dutchman’s second pre-season appearance.
Van Persie was taken off at half-time during a game against Japanese side Yokohama F Marinos with the 29-year-old complaining of tightness in his thigh.
Coach Raymond Verheijen – who was worked with Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as being Gary Speed’s assistant for the Wales national team – has pinned the blame for this lack of fitness directly on Moyes.
In Sydney Moyes said: We’ve over-trained Robin this week to build up his fitness’. Tonight he picked up muscle injury http://t.co/tenigZFEbr

It really makes you wonder how these pre-historic training methods can still take place at the highest level. http://t.co/EoU3apY1Sx

The only way to solve this problem in Jurassic Park is to improve education of these dinosaur coaches, fitness clowns & scientific cowboys. — Raymond Verheijen (@raymondverheije) July 23, 2013
Verheijen went on to further claim Moyes’ style of coaching was that of a ‘dinosaur’ and that the 50-year-old’s methods were completely outdated.
It’s a damning summary of the Scot, who faces a tough task this season to live up to the success achieved at Old Trafford by predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson.
Whilst Ferguson led United to 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League triumphs to name just a few of the legendary manager’s achievements, Moyes has never won a major trophy and was only in charge of just European matches during 11 years at Everton.
The new Red Devils boss will take charge of his first competitive game when the English champions face FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield on August 11.
