Diego Costa picked up his seventh booking of the season this weekend.

Costa received his seventh yellow card of the season at Stamford Bridge on Saturday when he was booked for simulation after appearing to make the most of a challenge from Curtis Davies, but Mourinho does not believe that the card was warranted and, indeed, the Portuguese suggested that only two of Costa’s seven bookings have been warranted.
He also feels that the Spaniard’s reputation has proceeded him, with referees being influenced by the players reputation as a combustible and aggressive character on account of his display under Diego Simeone in La Liga.
