The Minnesota Vikings have decided to release wide receiver Jerome Simpson as new charges were placed on him since his suspension for drunk driving.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson was already suspended for three games this season because of a drunk driving arrest, but he is currently facing new charges.
Simpson is facing possession of marijuana and driving with an open alcohol bottle charges, and he has a court arraignment scheduled for Nov. 3.
As a result, the Vikings have decided to release him. This adds insult to injury since running back Adrian Peterson was indicted on child abuse charges.
Here is a tweet from the Vikings’ official Twitter account confirming Simpson’s release.
