Mario Balotelli is on the brink of completing his return to Milan and insisted that he is ready to keep quiet and work hard.
The Italian striker endured a miserable spell with Liverpool last season, but will now hope that his return to Milanello will spark a resurgence in his game.
“I’m happy to be back, now I’m only waiting to start training,” he said, according to Football Italia.
“Physically I feel pretty good, I just have to train with the team. I have so much motivation.
“Did I imagine returning to Milan? Yes, I always had Milan in my heart and I always hoped to come back.
“Will I finish my career at Milan? I have to work hard and do well this year, then I’ll think about that.”
The 25-year-old has conceded that he knows he is running out of chances to prove his worth, and this may well be his last in Italy.
Having been linked with the likes of Lazio, Sampdoria and even a move to Qatar, the Italian ace has returned to the club that he supported as a child and arguably brought the best out of him during a two-year spell not so long ago.
Following his £16m move to Liverpool last summer, it appears as though Balotelli has taken a step back in his career. As a result, he will hope that a second chance with the Rossoneri will give him the motivation to get back to somewhere near his best.
