The £37m move is being held back but should still go through.
The transfer of Juan Mata to Manchester United from Chelsea in what is believed to be a £37m switch has been delayed.

Mata to #MUFC likely to be Monday, maybe even Tuesday now

Blues manager Jose Mourinho has already confirmed that he has spoken with Mata and that the Spaniard wants to leave and will undergo a medical at Old Trafford.
Therefore it’s unlikely the move will be cancelled indefinitely, but it may not happen this weekend as originally expected and this could mean that the 25-year-old will not be ready to make his debut against Cardiff City
The Red Devils play the Bluebirds at home in the Premier League on Tuesday and David Moyes was hoping to put Mata straight into the squad for that clash.
Having not trained for the past few days due to the negotiation process, the playmaker may not be ready to feature though if the switch isn’t completed soon.
The delay could be to do with the west London club wanting to finalise their own purchase of Mohamed Salah first, with the FC Basel winger expecting to move to Stamford Bridge in an £11m transfer.
Originally it looked as if the Egyptian was going to join Liverpool but after learning Mata would be departing, the Blues have hijacked that deal.
They will want to know for definite that Salah will be arriving to replace the Spain international before going further, as they now look a little light in attacking midfield having also sold Kevin de Bruyne in this window.
