United snap up FC Zurich teenager Saidy Janko…
Manchester United completed a deal for £700,00 for FC Zurich teenager Saidy Janko, reports BBC Sport.
The versatile teenager can perform at right-back or right-midfield, and impressed David Moyes while on trial at the club this summer.
The 17-year-old is quick and mobile, and has all the attributes needed to develop into a top-notch right fullback.
Janko is already a Switzerland Under-18 international, and will likely go straight into the United Under-21 squad, to develop alongside promising talents like Adnan Januzaj and Jesse Lindgard.
United completed a £27.5m deal for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini on deadline day, and it has emerged today that they also secured Janko before the window slammed shut.
They did though miss out on a loan deal for Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao because they couldn’t complete the paperwork before 11pm, and have been heavily criticised by football fans for leaving their business until the last minute.
