The PSG striker is on the Red Devils’ radar.
Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has once again emerged as a Manchester United transfer target as they look to alternatives to Radamel Falcao, reports CaughtOffside.
Falcao is currently on-loan at Old Trafford from AS Monaco and with three goals to date and injury concerns, has failed to convince manager Louis van Gaal that it would be worthwhile making the switch permanent.
That is why the Dutchman is looking to alternatives to the Colombia international and could be heading back to Ligue 1 as he keeps tabs on PSG star Cavani.
The Uruguay international has failed to truly settle at the Parc des Princes since first arriving there from Napoli in a club record deal back in the summer of 2013.
Cavani has played second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic ever since and has grown frustrated at being forced to play out wide in order to accommodate the Sweden international.
However, it’s thought the 27-year-old would set United back a whopping £62m, although having spent £150m on new players last summer the funds are available for transfers.
Arsenal have also been linked with Cavani in the past, although are less likely to splash the cash than their Premier League rivals.
