Red Devils to invest big money on ideal signing in attack.
Manchester United want to sign £60m-rated Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, also a top target for Arsenal, to replace the misfiring Radamel Falcao, according to CaughtOffside.
The Red Devils are unimpressed by Falcao’s performances since moving to Old Trafford on loan from AS Monaco, and could line up Cavani in a club-record deal.
A £60m fee would narrowly eclipse the £59.7m paid to Real Madrid for Angel Di Maria this season, and would be another major statement of intent in the transfer market from Louis van Gaal.
Cavani has not been at his best at PSG, and is thought to be available for the right price this summer.
