United boss received FA charge after referee criticism.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been charged by the Football Association after his comments made following his side’s 0-0 draw with Cambridge United in the FA Cup 4th round, BBC Sport reports.
The Dutchman was heavily critical of the referee’s performance after the game, saying that the official was one of many factors going against his team.
“Every aspect of a match is against us – the pitch, the referee,” he said at the time. “You have seen the referee. It’s always the same.”
The 63-year-old has until Monday evening to respond to the charge.
