City star crocked during 4-0 opening Premier League victory…
Manchester City star Vincent Kompany has admitted that his injury is a blow, but promised that he will back to his best as soon as possible.
As a result, City will actively pursue a temporary replacement.
The fantastic Belgian centre-half limped off after 71 minutes following a slide tackle on Newcastle’s Sammy Ameobi. His side still won 4-0 thanks to goals from David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri and Yaya Toure, but the injury to Kompany left fans with a sour taste in their mouth.
Team was great. I felt great. Injury is a blow after all the hard work. I’ll be back to that level in no time. Thanks for all the support!.

New Chilean boss admits that now his skipper is injured, the club will probably sign another defender, reports BBC Sport.
“The doctor will see exactly what he has, but maybe we can think about another centre-back,” he said.
After letting Kolo Toure leave on a free transfer, and with young Serb Matija Nastasic also out with an injury, City have only Joleon Lescott as an established, recognised centre-half.
Reports have linked Pellegrini with a move for Real Madrid’s Portuguese stopper Pepe, and the injury to Kompany could see them actively step up their chase.
