English giants Manchester United are reportedly seeking the help of Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes to strike a deal to bring wonderkid Joao Cancelo to the club.
Mendes has worked with United on a number of occasions, helping to bring Angel di Maria, David de Gea and Radamel Falcao to Old Trafford.
According to The Metro, the Red Devils are turning to Mendes again in an attempt to sign the highly-rated right back.
Cancelo, who is currently on loan an Valencia from Benfica, has impressed at the La Liga side during his 10 league appearances and is believed to have caught the eye of United boss Louis van Gaal.
The Metro report suggests the 20-year-old would cost United around £10.7m, however Valencia are believed to have a ‘first refusal’ option.
Cancelo has represented Portugal in all youth levels, but is yet to make an appearance for the senior side.
United certainly need to add depth at right-back in time for the 2015/16 season, with Antonio Valencia and Rafael currently the two options for van Gaal in the position.
