The Red Devils are in the hunt to sign disgruntled Inter playmaker.
Contract talks between Inter Milan and midfielder Wesley Sneijder have broken down, fuelling speculation that the Dutchman could be on his way to the Premier League.

Both Manchester clubs reportedly have interest, but United have emerged as the most likely destination, having been constantly linked with Sneijder for the last 2 years.
Sir Alex Ferguson is weighing up his options for January, with a strong possibility being a swap deal, which would see Nani heading in the other direction to Milan, according to ESPN. The Portuguese winger has not seen eye to eye with his manager lately and the relationship between the two has deteriorated.
The ball is in United’s court, as Sneijder is currently being forced out of the squad, while his contract situation stays in limbo and Inter chairman Massimo Moratti conceding that the only solution would be in the transfer market.
“Sneijder isn’t playing because the coach doesn’t think he’s at his best, above all psychologically,” The Inter president Massimo Moratti told reporters.
“For us it’s natural to look for a way to not be forced to sell him and he has the right to not accept our offer. If it stays like that, the solution will be on the transfer market.”
