Manchester City will reportedly launch a mega bid for Juventus star Paul Pogba to make him the highest-paid midfielder in world football.

Pogba has starred for Juventus in a season where the Old Lady claimed the Serie A title and are just 90 minutes away from a spot in the Champions League final.
So good has the French international been, The Mirror report City are willing to offer the 22-year-old a £250k-a-week after-tax deal to keep the likes of Real Madrid, PSG and Chelsea at bay.
According to the report, City will offer Juventus a £70m transfer fee for the former Manchester United youngster in a bid to lure Pogba back to the Premier League.
Pogba has scored eight goals in 23 Serie A appearances in a season in which he has played mostly as a holding midfielder.
After a long injury lay-off, Pogba returned to Juventus’ starting line-up against Cagliari on the weekend, scoring the opening goal in a 1-1 draw.
He is expected to start against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the second-leg of the Champions League semi-final clash.
