Manchester City are said to be weighing up a summer bid for West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell, according to the Metro.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League, where he has featured in 34 of the club’s 35 league games so far, catching the attention of a number of top clubs in the process.
Chelsea are believed to be considering a £15 million move for the left-back at the end of the season, but reports in the Daily Mail are now suggesting that City are ready to rival the newly crowned Premier League champions with a bid of their own.
City are looking to up their quota of homegrown players for the next season, and Manuel Pellegrini is equally as impressed with the former Ipswich man as anyone else.
Having begun his career with Tranmere Eovers, he missed out on England youth honours, but he has recently been tipped to earn a call up to the senior side in the near future.
