Deal set to be finalised by the end of the week.
Luis Suarez’s imminent transfer to Barcelona from Liverpool could be concluded by the end of the week, reports the Daily Mirror.
The 27-year old Uruguayan is banned from football for four months following his bite on Giorgio Chiellini, but that has not deterred the Catalan giants from sealing a deal for the star striker.
A transfer fee of £75 million has been agreed, but the deal is being held up over the structure of the payments as the Reds want a huge chunk of the fee upfront while Barca are keen on paying up in installments.
Liverpool want much of the cash this summer to re-invest in their squad, and have reportedly tied up a deal for Benfica’s Lazar Markovic and are also close to signing Belgium’s Divock Origi.
Barcelona are expected to settle Suarez’s matter by the end of the week though as their medics are already said to be on standby as soon as the club agree on terms.
