Bob Bradley has had a tumultuous season in the MLS. Does he deserve to be sacked or not? We think that he does.
Bob Bradley’s Career
Bob Bradley has had a long management career across many leagues with many teams around the world. Generally, he is considered an average coach and it was a mystery to us when he took over for Los Angeles. It was very impressive that he got the lead coaching position at Swansea City and we thought that position could have been filled by a better person. That was back in October 2016. He landed up getting fired from that role after only 85 days in the position. What’s worse, is that he only lead them for 11 games. There is only one other coach that was fired quicker in the entire history of the English Premier League. They decided to fire him with still half a season left in the league. Meaning they would rather find a new coach and start a new strategy from scratch than allow him to finish off the season and see if things improve.
Bob Bradley has a larger history in his native USA where he coached four MLS teams before coaching teams internationally. This included the national side of Egypt at which he had a positive win rate. He was also a long-time coach for the national US side which saw them win 43 games to 25 losses.
What Went Wrong
When Bob Bradley took over at Los Angeles FC he proved a good fit for the club. He led the team with fresh ideas and coordinated fantastic strategies that were fruitful. In the latest season that has not been the case at all. Many might say that the list of injuries suffered by the team is a large factor but unfortunately, it is obvious that the management did not innovate while the rest of the league did. They caught up to Bradley’s game plans and tactics. They caught him off guard because he did not adapt accordingly.
This resulted in the side conceding more goals and only scoring a handful every 10 games. Passing accuracy also dropped from 84.5% to 81%. Bradley admits to leaving a lot of space behind the defense, making it easy for other teams to score against them. They also can’t keep the ball for too long. Most Los Angeles fans were better off gambling at new-casinos.online.
We can certainly agree that not having Carlos Vela and Eduard Atuesta in many games due to injury was a big blow to the team. They have game-winning capabilities and are needed to win tournaments but one would expect that the defense could have been stronger and there should have been a more creative outlook going forward. The team players have also been highly uncoordinated especially when coordination was most needed. Such game losses have LAFC fans such as ourselves disappointed and we find ourselves using sites of Gamstop casinos to pass time.
