Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge has posted an image to Instagram with a caption describing Dejan Lovren as his brate, which means brother.
The defender has been enduring a tough first season at Anfield after signing last summer for £20m, according to the Daily Mirror. After a series of high-profile errors the 25-year-old has been dropped for the bench for most of their recent matches. Even former backup Kolo Toure and midfielder Emre Can have been playing ahead of the centre-back.
However, Martin Skrtel’s and Emre Can’s suspensions now mean that the Serb could make a return to the starting XI for their next match against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup. The quarter final replay is make or break for the Reds’ season after a they slipped out of the race for Champions League qualification.
It seems like Sturridge is backing his teammate to do well…
