Liverpool will sign £3m Kevin Mendez after Suarez raves about his talent…
Liverpool will sign Uruguayan 17-year-old wonderkid Kevin Mendez, reports the Mirror.
The prodigal young striker shone at last summer’s Under-17 World Cup, and after Liverpool received a glowing scout report on mendez from Uruguayan Luis Suarez, boss Brendan Rodgers has given the green light for a transfer.
European heavyweights Barcelona, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the wonderkid, but it’s thought that Suarez could hold the key to Mendez joining the Premier League side instead.
He currently plies his trade in his home country for Penarol, who would be willing to accept around £3m for his services.
Mendez shares many of Suarez’s traits, and loves dribbling at defenders. He is stocky, and can out-muscle a defender with grit and determination like his world-class South American compatriot.
