AS Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic is expected to leave the Serie A club this January, with PSG heavy favourites, but Liverpool and Tottenham are both interested in the Bosnian, the Metro reports.
Pjanic has been excellent for a Roma side who lost only their first Serie A match of the season at the weekend to table topping Juventus.
The 23-year-old has scored three and assisted four, and been deployed as both a central midfielder and a deep-lying playmaker for the Rome club.
Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini has confirmed that the club have received offers from various clubs for his services.
He told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport: “We have had many offers for Miralem, and not necessarily from PSG.”
Spurs were originally linked with Pjanic in the summer, but signed his Argentine teammate Erik Lamela instead, who has been extremely poor this term. Liverpool on the other hand are desperate to add quality to the final third, in search of a much needed top four finish.
However, if PSG are serious about their interest, it seems unlikely that either Premier League side will be able to compete for his transfer, because of their financial pulling power and the promise of Champions League football every year.
