Reds step up efforts to sign South American wonderkid.
Liverpool have reportedly made a £3.2m bid to Juventud to sign highly-rated young striker Jaime Baez, who has been compared to Luis Suarez, according to the Metro.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young talents in South America at the moment, and has impressed Brendan Rodgers with his displays for his club.
This could now see the player snapped up by Liverpool in the January transfer window, with Rodgers known to be keen on improving his options upfront.
The Reds have had a poor start to the season, largely down to the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona during the summer.
